At Hospital Angeles Lomas, in the metro area of Mexico City, we carried out screening of all pregnant women at term for SARS-CoV2 using qualitative real-time RNA PCR. Recently one of our patients who was asymptomatic was positive, with an estimate of mild viral load. 48 hours later the result of the same test was negative. 7 days later, the result is again negative. She is currently 40 weeks  and continues to be asymptomatic. Would you consider handling this patient as infected? We have discussed this case in our group and there are those who defend the idea that with two negative tests there would be no more risks. Others think that there could still be viruses in faeces, urine and peritoneal fluid and that maternal, neonatal and health personnel care protocols should be applied as to an infected patient.
