Curious why O26.89- which does not read Rh negative state it reads other specified pregnancy related condition when O36.01 reads maternal care for anti-D antibodies.

Well, that is what comes up in EPIC which was built 2 years ago, supposedly based on what we previously had which was based on the SMFM cheat sheet. I stand corrected, I will notify our coding epic team.

It does amaze me that ICD-10 is not clear/uniform in something as big as EPIC.

    ThanksSean

    Ruby,

On second thought, Doesn't O36.01 maternal Care for Anti-D antibodies, indicate caring for someone who has Rh Isoimmunization?

Yes ... the O36.01 series refers to isoimmunized patients who have anti-D antibodies.
EPIQ may not always give you correct coding as it may have been programmed incorrectly for your site. The correct coding advice was shared earlier in the thread. I am noting it again:

    O negative is Z67.41
    A negative is Z67.11
    B negative is Z67.21
    AB negative is Z67.31
"Unspecified blood type, Rh negative" is Z67.91.

Isoimmunization to the Rh (D) antigen falls in the ICD-10 series O36.0110-O36.0199
