  • 1.  BPP and NST

    Does anyone have a system which allows the NST to be read in sign and one system and the BPP in another on the same day at the same visit?  We US on AS.  Our NST are in Fetal Link and Cerner.  We are reporting in 3 systems?  Any thoughts about how to have two reports that are separate? and then bill separately or collectively?

    Hi Debra,
    Most ultrasound reporting packages can be customized to report NSTs and BPPs. At my institution, the department chose to have the NST reported directly in the hospital-wide EMR because the generalists do not have access to use the ultrasound reporting package when they read the NST. This does present some billing challenges to avoid unbundling of 76818.
