  • 1.  76811 Guideline

    Can you please clarify if CPT 76811 can be billed if one of the requirements were not visible and documentation states not "visualized due to fetal position".  Everything I have seen says you can bill 76801 or 76805 if something is not visible, but cannot find anything for 76811.

    If any of the required fetal or maternal components are non-visualized due to fetal position, late gestational age, maternal habitus, etc., the circumstance must be clearly noted in the ultrasound report to meet the requirements for billing this service.
