Dr. Ramsey is an experienced Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist with academic rank of Professor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio (UTHSCSA). He serves as the Director for the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship training program and Medical Director for Maternal Transport and Outreach for UTHSCSA/University Health System.

Dr. Ramsey completed his medical school training at the University of Wisconsin Madison School of Medicine in 1994 and residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, MN in 1998. He completed a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2001. He also received a Masters of Science in Public Health with emphasis in Epidemiology/International Health in 2003. He is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. He is an active member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Infectious Disease Society for Obstetrics and Gynecology, among others. As an active researcher and educator, he has received numerous awards and accolades and published over 80 peer-reviewed papers in major journals. His research interests are clinical trials, prevention of preterm birth, labor management, and management of medical complications of pregnancy.
