Super Bill Example Needed

Hello, we are in the process of opening our MFM clinic and are in need of an example of a super bill that you may use when your normal billing software is down. One of our physicians will have a clinic one day a week that will not have access to our system, we use EPIC, for a few months so we are needing something they can use to bill those visits until then. I have looked around and found some basic super bill examples elsewhere but nothing that I can find that is tailored more towards MFM. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

    Hi Tyler
We no longer have an SMFM SuperBill on the website.  Others may still have the old one from 8-9 years ago.  I think an example of it may be in Dr. Iriye's book on Practice management in fact.  We do have an ICD-10 Cheat sheet that can help with indications? That can be found under coding resources.
    Thanks
    Vanita

We still use paper superbills in our office in that it is so much more efficient for physicians.   Data entry in onerous and billing personnel do it better with a guidance from a superbill.   Provider time, IMO is wasted when used on data entry and f/u on actual billing is worse when electronically entered as check out staff are delayed by physician data entry for bill collection and then physicians rush and miss appropriate charges.   Anyways, I can send you one if you leave me an email address.

    Thanks Brian!
And actually, just crowdsourcing on this forum a bit - if others are interested in this please reply back to this chain.  I can get Brian's copy and remove identifiers and such and upload it to the SMFM website as a coding resource.

That would be great! Thank you. My email is tyler.sipes@ochsnerlsuhs.org. With this being a remote, weekly clinic, it may be something that we look at continuing to use the paper format if it looks like it is working well for us.

I would love a copy too.  Would be great to have posted on the SMFM website as a coding resource as  Vanita suggested--THANK YOU!
Agree with Brian that having to enter the CPT and ICD-10 codes on the encounter in our EMR (Athena) is time consuming "busy work", especially since they are also entered on the sono reports (Viewpoint).

"When this is over, may we never again take for granted a handshake with a stranger, full shelves at the store, conversations with neighbors, a crowded theater, a Friday night out, the taste of communion, a routine checkup, a school rush each morning, coffee with a friend, the stadium roaring, each deep breath, a boring Tuesday, life itself.

When this ends, may we find that we have become more like the people we wanted to be, we were called to be, we hoped to be. And may we stay that way - better for each other because of the worst." -Laura Kelly Fanucci
