If we do a 76817 for a cervical length and then go on the abdomen and document fluid, FHR, position and placental location should we be billing a 76815 as well?

I  usually add 76815 or 76816 depending on what I am documenting.

    Hi,

You can certainly bill for both scans, as long as there is support and documentation for doing both. If you are billing 76817 and 76815 together, remember to link the appropriate ICD-10 code(s) to each procedure code, and add modifier 59 to 76815, to indicate that it is a distinct service from 76817.

    Thank you,

    Trish
