There are not specific documentation requirements per se but there must be an indication to perform the umbilical artery doppler.
FGR is the most common indication
Best practices would be to follow the reporting in a standard reporting package. This typically will note various parameters of the doppler velocity itself, and then an interpretation and recommendations for follow up should be in the body of the report.

Hello,
Our practice just employed an MFM provider and I am very new and unfamiliar with MFM coding. The provider performs umbilical dopplers with growth scans and I am unsure if they are documenting enough. Can anyone share what documentation needs to be present to report 76820 or if you can direct me to some guidelines? Below is what they currently have been documenting.
