Can we send two separate claims to insurance, one for MFM consult and one for ultrasound on the same DOS? Or does it need to be billed together on the same claim?

Hi Areesa,

Unless your payer has special rules, either way should be OK. Make sure you attach modifier E/M to the consult to indicate it is a separate procedure from the ultrasound.
